Media entrepreneur Juvaiś Dunn was born and raised in the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. As a little boy growing up in a farming community, Juvaiś had a passion for storytelling and everything visual.
After completing his matric, Juvaiś attend AFDA for a year and then he went on to study Marketing at Boston Media House and in 2011 he joined a marketing company in Johannesburg where he worked as a marketing assistant, though he knew that he was destined to become an entrepreneur.
Driven by his love to use visuals to tell compelling stories and the desire to be a successful entrepreneur, Juvaiś and his business partner Kgosana Monchusi in 2012 began the journey of their dream when they launched Weldun Media as co-founders. The wholly black-owned production company is focussed on telling original African stories or narratives that capture the emotions of its audience.
Since its inception, the agile Weldun Media which has grown in leaps and bounds, working with both local and international brands and broadcasters such as BET, MTV, Comedy Central, e Extra to name a few. Weldun Media is well positioned to become a global production company with the aim of creating world class African content and telling the African story to the rest of the world.As the managing director at Weldun Media, Juvaiś is responsible for managing business operations and client relations.
